Welcome to refrigeratorplanet.com.
My name is Daniel Laney, and for fourteen years, I’ve been working on appliances in one fashion or another.
I started out as an HVAC technician, which then turned into working on refrigerators. Over the years, I ended up working on stoves, wine coolers, vent fans, oven installations, and everything in between.
Why do I tell you all of this?
Because I’ve seen a thing or two.
I’ve brought refrigerators back from the dead, diagnosed issues that I didn’t think were even possible in home appliances, and had to swap out aftermarket parts for OEMs more times than I care to mention.
I’m a father, a business owner, and someone who knows what you need in a refrigerator.
From average cubic feet per person, per household, down to amp ratings, energy efficiency, installation and everything else that you could think of, I’m here for you.
What is it that I love about refrigerators so much?
I would say that it’s their utility. You don’t run a dishwasher 24/7, or a dryer for that matter, but your fridge never stops going.
It is the most-used appliance in any one household, and undergoes the most stress.
I like to know what makes them run, what maintenance they require to continue being so reliable, and everything in between.
Here, I’m going to show you everything you ever wanted to know about your refrigerator, and make some recommendations along the way for replacements, as well as accessories that you can use to make your fridge even better and more useful than it’s ever been.
